Best movie of the year! Chicago as Gotham city was very cool and Heath Ledger as the Joker....simply amazing! He better get an Oscar....
Okay...I've had the iPhone 3G for a few days now and what can I say? I LOVE IT. However, I hate the battery! Here are my observations....
- It feels better and lighter in your hand.
- Blogging from it is fantastic.
- Email and browsing the internet is soooo much faster. The browsing experience can't be matched by any phone. I've tried Sprint's LG Dare (yawn) and Sprint's Instinct (nice but....not an iPhone).
- I can post ads on Craigslist now :) Apparently, I was never able to on the original iPhone.
- There are some really cool applications that are free but I am a bit disappointed in the app store. It's actually kinda boring. The most annoying thing is that none of the apps will work in the background. Thus, once you go back home to check an email or text message....you close out of the application. My favorite apps thus are are AOL Radio and Pandora....both very nice!
- Love the fact that I can browse the web and save pictures directly onto my iPhone (to email other's or post on my blog).
- I hate the fact that it's supposed to be a multimedia device....but does not support video. I think a firmware will come out soon so this shouldn't be a worry.
- As everyone knows....still no MMS! I don't know why Apple has ignored this. This blows my mind....but I guess they know what they are doing. Again, a firmware update should fix this easily.
- GPS is dead on! I was walking downtown this weekend and I could actually see myself cross the street. It's very accurate and an awesome feature. On the downside....you will soon be running to a starbucks to recharge.
- To conserve battery life you can switch back to the edge network and turn off the 3G network.
- The upgrade (2.0) is (for now) somewhat of a downgrade. I never had any problems with my original iPhone. It worked perfectly every single time. With the upgrade I find my iPhone becomes sluggish when texting and sending/receiving an email at the same time. There have been many complaints about this "sluggishness" so I'm sure apple will issue a fix for this as well.
- Is it worth leaving another provider for AT&T? Hummm......I hate AT&T (so frigin expensive). Sprint is awesome and cheap. If your heart is set on an iPhone then by all means jump at it! If you are happy with your current phone then don't get swept up in all the iPhone craze. I love Apple products. I use my phone constantly. In my opinion there is no phone on the market (until possibly the "gphone" comes out on the android OS) that is so user friendly and reliable.
